Meet Libby Muney

I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in couples and individual work.

I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method, two highly effective approaches to helping couples improve their relationships. I have also completed training with Postpartum Support International’s Maternal Mental Health program, and I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples before, during, and after pregnancy.

I also specialize in helping lawyers and busy professionals navigate relationship issues, career changes, overcome burnout, and tackle work-related stress head-on. As a former lawyer turned therapist, I understand the unique challenges and pressures that come with the field.

Our work together may focus on attachment and early childhood trauma, offering a safe and nurturing space for individuals seeking profound healing and growth from their past experiences. This also informs my work with individuals dealing with chronic pain, helping them find relief from emotional and physical pain.

In my work with couples, I help partners explore their emotions, identify patterns of communication and behavior that may be causing conflict and develop new skills and strategies for resolving disagreements. With individuals struggling with chronic pain, I use a combination of psychotherapy and mind-body techniques, including yoga and meditation, to help clients find relief and manage their symptoms. I am also trained in EMDR, a powerful modality for helping individuals work through trauma that can help change the way painful memories and experiences are stored in the brain.

If you're interested in working with me, please feel free to reach out. Whether you're struggling with relationship issues, chronic pain, or simply looking to improve your emotional well-being, I would be honored to help.
